I have a slackline at home, an analog camera, scattered studies on the end of coal in the Czech Republic, a balance board for surfing, Tibetan prayer flags, and – if everything isn’t shrouded in a fine mist of climbing chalk – quite a tidy space.
I enjoy discovering the possible and the impossible. When I’m not trying out a new sport or traveling, I focus on systemic change policies. I graduated from the Economics at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. During my undergraduate studies in Territorial Studies at Charles University, I became passionate about Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I spent a month conducting my own research. My second bachelor’s degree was from the University of Economics in Prague. I also spent a year studying economics and pedagogy at UCL in London and went on Erasmus to Sweden for a short stint.
I started reflecting on the world and my future work as a high school student in the Czech High School Students Union and later at the Academy of Sciences at CERGE-EI. For three years, I traveled across Europe as a non-formal educator for the Brussels-based organization OBESSU, until my journey led me to an analytical position focusing on education with Dan Prokop at PAQ Research. More recently, I’ve also become a lecturer at the Discover summer academy.
Right now, I’m most excited about my subjects at ITG, where I aim to connect digital competencies with social sciences, history, geography, and the world around us, including its challenges.
